Welcome to Switching.info (“SI”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Switching.info website and directory service.

Switching.info is operated by Daniel Winfield, acting as an individual based in the United Kingdom.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • "Switching URL" means the web address provided by a company that links to information about its switching process.
  • "Switching URL Landing Page" means the publicly accessible page located at the Switching URL.

1. Purpose of the Service

Switching.info is a public directory of companies that provide Internet access services and telephony services.

The primary purpose of the service is to provide a directory of essential information for gaining providers to locate and contact the losing provider to initiate the switching process. It also helps end users of telecommunications services understand how to switch between service providers.

Companies listed in the directory may publish information describing their switching processes to assist consumers and businesses considering switching providers.

2. Directory Listings

Only telecommunications providers themselves, or individuals authorised to act on their behalf, may submit information to be included in the Switching.info directory.

Listings are intended to provide process-related information regarding switching between telecommunications providers.

Switching.info does not permit third parties to create listings on behalf of companies without proper authorisation.

Each listing includes a Switching URL, which links to a page on the provider’s own website that contains further details regarding their switching processes.

3. Switching URL Requirements

Each company listed on Switching.info must provide a Switching URL.

The page reached via this link is referred to as the Switching URL Landing Page.

The Switching URL Landing Page must:

  • Be publicly accessible
  • Not require authentication, login, registration, or any gated process
  • Contain clear information describing the company’s switching process
  • Communicate key information in plain English
  • Where applicable, reference industry-defined switching processes
  • Include links to additional authoritative sources where relevant

The Switching URL Landing Page must exist primarily to communicate switching process information.

It must not be used primarily for sales, marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes unrelated to explaining switching processes.
